What is a Petition Candidate?

A Petition Candidate is nominated by the signatures of registered voters instead of by a political party.

A local County Council election is not about national party politics. It's about local issues and local people. That's why Sandra intentionally chose to run as a Petition Candidate and not the nominee of a political party.

Sandra Bundy qualified for the ballot through the signatures of hundreds of Murrells Inlet voters.

That's why a straight party vote - either Republican or Democrat - will not select Sandra Bundy.

To vote for Sandra, you must follow the above instructions and separately select "Sandra Bundy" in the Georgetown County Council District 1 race.
